The sixth session of the Forum for the Future held in Morocco on November 2 and 3 under the co-chairmanship of Morocco and Italy.

This ministerial meeting discussed a number of issues like the financial crisis, the economies of the Boarder Middle East and North Africa (BMENA) and the peace process in the Middle East.

This international meeting, also, discussed entrepreneurship in BMENA region, social reforms, freedom and democracy, advancing regional security and human rights.

Minister Cannon made the announcement at the conclusion of the 2009 Forum that Qatar has agreed to host the next Broader Middle East and North Africa (BMENA) Forum for the Future, which will occur during Canada’s G8 presidency in 2010
